News New Brel Cast Recording Due in Stores in November Ghostlight Records, the theatrical division of Sh-K-Boom Records, will release the cast recording of the current Off-Broadway revival of Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris in November.

On Nov. 21 the single CD featuring 22 numbers from the show is set to hit stores across the country. Copies of the recording — produced by Eric Svejcar and Greg Arnold — will be available at the Zipper Theatre and on-line beginning Oct. 17. An additional eight tracks not featured on the CD will be available for downloading on iTunes. And, beginning Oct. 11 those interested can download the song "Brussels" by visiting the musical's website at www.jacquesbrelreturns.com.

The new recording features this revival's original cast: Robert Cuccioli, Natascia Diaz, Gay Marshall and Rodney Hicks. Hicks is no longer with the production; Jim Stanek is the newest member of the foursome.

The revival of Jacques Brel — directed by Gordon Greenberg — plays Off-Broadway's Zipper Theatre. Greenberg's production features the cast of four on the intimate Zipper stage with just a few set pieces and the occasional prop: a chair, a couch, a few suitcases and several glasses of alcohol. Staircases are located on both sides of the stage, one for entrances and another that leads to the small band, whose pianist, Svejcar, often joins the singers. Song titles include "Le Diable (Ca Va)," "If We Only Have Love," "Alone," "I Loved," "Jackie," "My Childhood," "Madeleine," "Bachelor's Dance," "Fanette," "Le Moribund," "The Desperate Ones," "Timid Frieda," "The Statue," "Sons of," "Amsterdam," "The Bulls," "Brussels," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Middle Class," "Old Folks," "Funeral Tango," "My Death," "Marieke," "Songs for Old Lovers," "Next," "You're Not Alone," "Carousel" and "If We Only Have Love."
