News New Brooklyn Theatre Company Will Interpret Three Sisters to Reflect Present Day With Multiracial Cast Brooklyn Repertory Theater will present the third production of its inaugural season, Anton Chekhov's Three Sisters, beginning Feb. 4 at the 4th Street Theater.

In keeping with the company's mission, the play features a multiracial company directed by Victor Cervantes Jr. (Middle Voice Theater Company), who has interpreted this Russian classic to take place in present-day New York and reflect the diverse world we live in today.

The cast includes Elisabeth Ng as Olga, Anna Tempte as Masha, Tahirah Stanley as Irina, Ilinca Tuvene as Natasha, Ran Levy as Solyony, Erick Betancourt as Vershinin, Fabio Motta as Tuzenbach, Roberto Sanabria as Kulygin, Stephen McFarlane as Fedotik, Renee Petrofes as Anfisa, Robert Lee Leng as Ferapont, Mike Turner as Andrei and Alexander Lambie as Chebutykin.

Other members of the creative team include production stage manager Jacques Leon Decunto, props designer Lisa Purrone, costume designer Darla Juniper, sound designer Tom Mulvaney, set designer Victor Cervantes, lighting designer Jason Fok and assistant stage manager Anamari Mesa.

Ilinca Tuvene and Elisabeth Ng are executive producers with Jaime Jaget as line producer.

Brooklyn Repertory Theater is a Bushwick-based theatre company created by friends who wanted to change the way race was being portrayed onstage.
