Lucas Hnath’s Tony-nominated A Doll’s House, Part 2, directed by Sam Gold, will find a new face behind the door beginning July 25.
Replacing Tony winner Laurie Metcalf and Tony nominees Chris Cooper and Condola Rashad are Tony winner Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed), Tony nominee Stephen McKinley Henderson (Fences), and Erin Wilhelmi (The Crucible). The three take on the roles of Nora, Torvald, and Emmy, respectively.
Jayne Houdyshell, who received a Tony nomination for her performance as Anne Marie, will remain with the production.
Metcalf, Cooper, and Rashad will take their final bows Sunday, July 23.
The play, which picks up 15 years after Ibsen's drama, is scheduled to run through January 7, 2018 at the John Golden Theatre.
In addition to Metcalf's win and nods for her three co-stars, the production received a Tony nomination for Best Play, as well as for Director Gold, costume designer David Zinn, and lighting designer Jennifer Tipton.
