Evie Hone and Lizzie Wells are to join Anna-Louise Knight and Lara McDonnell in sharing the title role in the original West End production of Matilda The Musical, beginning Sept. 15.

They will be newly joined by Michael Begley (as Mr. Wormwood), Rebecca Thornhill (Mrs. Wormwood) and Miria Parvin (Miss Honey), with Craige Els continuing as Miss Trunchbull.

Begley has appeared in London in plays at the Old Vic, Royal Court, Tricycle and Trafalgar Studios. Outside London, he has appeared in Chichester, Birmingham and Manchester.

Thornhill's previous West End musical credits include From Here to Eternity, Mary Poppins, Chicago, Ragtime, The Witches of Eastwick, Beauty and the Beast and Les Miserables, as well as appearances at the National in Oklahoma! and Singin' in the Rain (Olivier-nominated).

Parvin was recently seen in the West End in Once. She was seen in U.K. tours of Starlight Express, Footloose (also West End), Our House and Mamma Mia!

The young performers who will play the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda, Nigel, Eric and the other pupils at Crunchem Hall from September are as follows: Leo Ayres, Charlie Barnard, Thomas Berry, Fifi Bloomsbury-Khier, Tilly Cook, Bronte Cosgrave, Ellie Dadd, Connor Deeks, Carla Dixon, Dayna Dixon, Denzel Eboji, Keyaan Hameed, Hannah Hague, Darcy Hillhouse, Caoimhe Judd, Sophie Keaveney, Demi Olawovin, Ben Perkins, Max Reader, Jason Rennie, Joe Sheridan, Jacob Smith, Eva Trodd, Harrison Vaughan and Jamie Wilding.

The adult cast also includes Fabian Aloise, Robbie Boyle, John Brannoch, Oliver Brooks, Jonathan Cordin, Olly Dobson, Demi Goodman, Elliot Harper, Will Hawksworth, Kate Kenrick, Rachel Moran, Tom Muggeridge, Matt Serafini, Biancha Szynal, Charlotte Scott, Laura Tyrer and Sharlene Whyte.
