It is being produced and directed by Danielle Tarento and Thom Southerland, respectively, the same duo who previously brought new productions of Parade, Mack & Mabel and Victor/Victoria to Southwark Playhouse but in its earlier incarnation near London Bridge station.

The creative team also includes musical staging by Cressida Carre, musical direction by Mark Aspinall, design by David Woodhead, lighting by Howard Hudson and sound design by Andrew Johnson.

In the final hour of 14th April 1912 the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and "the unsinkable ship" slowly sank, with the loss of 1,517 men, women and children.

Based on actual characters aboard the greatest ship in the world, the show, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Peter Stone, focuses on their hopes and aspirations. Unaware of the fate that awaits them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the newly-enfranchised Second Class dream of achieving the lifestyles of the rich and famous, and the millionaire Barons of the First Class dream of their hegemony lasting forever.
