News New Charlotte Jones Play Lightning to Premiere at Almeida in 2006 The Lightning Play, a new work by Charlotte Jones (The Woman in White) will premiere at London's Almeida Theatre in 2006, the playwright told Playbill.com's Harry Haun.

"It's an emotional thriller about a family, set at Halloween," said Jones. Jones' plays include the oft-produced Humble Boy.

The upcoming Almeida season also include productions by Tennessee Williams and Sam Shepard.

Tennessee Williams’ Period of Adjustment hasn’t been performed in London since Roerg Graef’s production in 1962. Howard Davies will revive the tale of an intense 48 hours in the lives of a newly married couple. Previews start on March 9, opening night is on March 16, and the show runs until April 29.

That show will be preceded by Shepard's The Late Henry Moss, running Jan. 12-March 4, directed by Michael Attenborough.
