"When violence breaks out in an African American community over a pair of 'Sky Max' shoes, sales triple among white teens," according to press notes. "Meanwhile, a new pill guarantees to cure racism, advertising that 'if you think you don't need it – you're probably a racist.'" The play is further described as "a black comedy, in which five people, white and black, navigate the murky waters of race, rhetoric and basketball shoes."

The production also features sets by Roman Tatarowicz, lights by Miriam Nilofa Crowe, sound by Brandon Walcott and projection design by Caite Hevner.

Urban Stages is located at 259 West 30th Street. Tickets are $40 ($25 during previews) and are available at Smarttix.com or by calling (212) 868-4444.
