The show, commissioned by the McCarter, will be directed by McCarter artistic director Emily Mann, and run Sept. 9-Oct. 16. No cast has been named. According to a theatre spokesperson, the show's title character "is reincarnated against her better interests."

Durang is the author of such absurd, anarchic comedies as Betty's Summer Vacation, Sex and Longing, Laughing Wild and Beyond Therapy. His Adrift in Macao has been aimed at Off-Broadway for some time.
