LOS ANGELES -- A new English translation of Anton Chekhov's The Seagull will be unveiled at the Hollywood Court Theatre Jan. 22 -- 100 years after the first production of Chekhov's landmark play. Russian-born Milena Albert based her translation on the original uncensored manuscript and has introduced nine additional pages of text.
Albert is directing a cast that includes Ellen Andrews, Kent Burnham, Gregory Clemens, Ben Feur, Gildart Jackson, Stephanie Nash, Rod Roeser, Fran-Serene Shapiro, Allison Sie, Sara Soibel, Taylor Sutherland, Martha Thompson and Denis Tokarsky.
