Classic Arts News New French Dance Company Begins Tour Pietragalla Compagnie, the dance company founded by former National Ballet of Marseille director Marie-Claude Pietragalla, begins a world tour this week with performances in Tours, France.
The show, called Souviens toi . . . , features a score by Armand Amar and Yann Tiersen, sets by Michle Belobradic, costumes by Patrick Murru, and lighting design by Eric Valentin. It will tour within France to Marseille, Miramas, and Merignac, and then, according to the New York Times, to Singapore.

Pietragalla, a former dancer with the Paris Opera, became director of the National Ballet of Marseille in 1998, and stayed for six years. In her new company, she collaborates with assistant choreographer and former National Ballet of Marseille soloist Julien Derouault.
