The songwriters are all alums of BSC's Musical Theatre Lab, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Songwriters include Jill Abramovitz, Gaby Alter, Will Aronson, Jeremy Desmon, Vadim Feichtner, Kirsten Guenther, Anna Jacobs, Alana Jacoby, Laura Kleinbaum, Salomon Lerner, Dan Lipton, Bill Nelson, Ryan Scott Oliver, Willem Oosthuysen, Michael Pettry, Zachary Redler, David Rossmer, Samuel Salmond, Joy Son and Nikos Tsakalakos.

BSC artistic director Julianne Boyd will direct a cast featuring Brian Justin Crum (Next to Normal, Grease), Trista Dollison (The Lion King national tour), Morgan Karr (Spring Awakening) and Cassie Wooley (BSC's See Rock City). Darren R. Cohen will provide musical direction. Musical Theatre Lab and Natasha Sinha will produce the cabaret.

"Having just celebrated five years of our acclaimed Musical Theatre Lab, working with over 60 writers, composers, and lyricists, we (Bill Finn and I) asked them to write a song about love and its various vicissitudes," Boyd said in a statement. "We're thrilled to present these new songs as the Musical Theatre Lab writers share their version of the perfect Valentine's Day song: funny, serious, loving, not-so-loving and outrageous!"

Performances will take place Feb. 11-12 at 8 PM and Feb. 13 at 3 PM.
