News New Music: NYMF Memberships Begin Sale Aug. 1 Memberships for the sixth annual New York Musical Festival, featuring works by Tony winner Stew, and Tony nominees Bill Russell, Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar, go on sale beginning Aug. 1.

NYMF membership packages allow theatregoers the chance to secure seating for the numerous musicals featured in the three-week festival one month prior to the on sale date for the general public. A majority of the NYMF productions sell-out annually.

Additional bonuses of being a NYMF member include priority seating, access to exclusive programming and the opportunity to attend opening-night parties and year-long NYMF events. Packages available include $300 platinum (12 tickets), $200 gold (8 tickets) and $100 (4 tickets).

Running Sept. 28-Oct. 18, NYMF 2009 highlights include Academy by John Mercurio; The Last Smoker in America by Bill Russell and Peter Melnick; Judas and Me by Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar; Street Lights by Joe Drymala; Whatever Man by Benjamin Strouse; My Scary Girl by Kyoung-Ae Kang and Will Aronson; Andy Warhol Was Right by Sammy Buck and Dan Acquisto; Punk Princess by Stew, Heidi Rodewald and Yasmine Lever; Open the Dark Door by David Lefort Nugent; and Fat Camp by Randy Blair, Timothy Michael Drucker and Matthew roi Berger.
