New Musical Bonnie and Clyde Gets Seattle Production, Oct. 17-Nov. 2

News   New Musical Bonnie and Clyde Gets Seattle Production, Oct. 17-Nov. 2 Bonnie and Clyde, a new two-person musical which has been given readings at Off-Broadway's The Culture Project, will get a production at The Village Theatre in Seattle, Oct. 17 - Nov 2.

The country rock score was written by composer-lyricist Andrew Herron and lyricist Doug Ritchie. Director Will Pomerantz wrote the book. Pomerantz is the director-in-residence at The Culture Project. Bryce Britton directs the Seattle staging. According to a statement, this telling of the Bonnie and Clyde story "views the duo not as icons but as high-strung versions of the average American Jack and Jill."

"And that image," said Herron, "can be as funny or moving or strange as that of any criminal."

Pomerantz will direct Julia Jordan’s new play Tatiana in Color Off Broadway this fall.
