Directed by Jerry Dixon (Once on This Island; tick, tick… BOOM!), Cantone—who will be featured in the title role—and Bartlett will be joined by Tony nominee Mary Testa (On the Town), Iris Elton, Taylor Negron, Michael Arnold (South Pacific), Deidre Goodwin (A Chorus Line), Andrea Dora (Tarzan), Raun Ruffin (The Civil War), Pearl Sun (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!), Chris Vaughn and Sasha Weiss.

The new musical, featuring music and lyrics by Walter Marks, is described as a "comic-tragedy" that chronicles the career of Bruce, who finds himself defending his "dirty little words" before his nemesis—God (Bartlett).
