News   New Musical It's the Housewives!, with Lake, Dekker and Hood, Begins Sept. 6 The new musical It's the Housewives! makes its world premiere Sept. 6 at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Directed by Kelly Ann Ford, the comic rock musical will play through Oct. 12.

The cast is headed by Jayme Lake, Corinne Dekker and Jamey Hood in the title roles with Jed Alexander, Vince Cefalu, Roger Cruz, Anthony DeSantis, Terri Homberg-Olsen and Danielle Kennedy.

It's the Housewives! features music and lyrics by Laurence Juber and Hope Juber with a book by Juber and Ellen Guylas. The musical, according to press notes, concerns "three young moms [who] get their humble start at the PTA talent show, then go on to 'clean up' as the most celebrated, yet unlikely girl group in history with their 'domestic' brand of rock 'n' roll." Song titles include "In Sink And At Your Disposal," "Ironing Bored" and "I've Been Defrosting All Day."

The creative team also includes musical director Laurence Juber, choreographer Kay Cole, set designer Davis Campbell and Danny Cistone, DC2, lighting designer Lesley Fairman, costume designer Sharell Martin and sound designer Joseph "Sloe" Slawinski.
