News New Musical Pages — with Berry, Spore and Muller — Begins CAP21 Run June 12 Pages, A New Musical begins a limited engagement at CAP21/The Shop June 12.

Directed by CAP21 artistic ensemble member Lawrence Arancio, the production will play through June 23 at The Shop, located at 18 West 18th Street in Chelsea. The cast features Michael Berry (Les Misérables), Heather Spore (Wicked) and Brian Muller.

Pages, a New Musical was penned by Will Van Dyke (music and lyrics) and Josh Halloway (book and lyrics). The musical, according to press notes, is "a character driven romantic comedy about a celebrated novelist who lives in the world of his stories at the expense of his personal life. But when his wife threatens to leave him, he concocts the perfect scenario to win her back."

Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 7 PM and Saturday and Sundays at 3 PM.

* Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21) was founded in 1993 by executive artistic director Frank Ventura, "to create new works for the theatre, to develop new talent and build new audiences." CAP21 has developed and/or presented 180 new plays and musicals by nearly 280 writers including numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway productions. These include The Immigrant (2000), Beach Radio (2002), Killing Louise (2003), Waiting For My Man (2004), Six of One (2005) and The 60's Project (2005).

CAP21 has created an extensive new play and musical development process which culminates in workshop productions like this one. CAP21's new home for its new work development process is called The Shop.
