The 2010-11 season at New Repertory Theatre in Watertown, MA, will feature the world premiere of Steve Yockey's afterlife: a ghost story, plus a resident production of the Tony Award-winning musical Passing Strange.

Artistic director Kate Warner announced the season on Feb. 22.

The varied contemporary works on two stages include David Mamet's Boston Marriage; Theresa Rebeck's DollHouse; Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune; Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years; and the New England premiere of David Gow's Cherry Docs, a play about a Jewish lawyer and a hate crime against an immigrant.

Warner will direct the world premiere of afterlife, to feature Marianna Bassham, for a Jan. 16-Feb. 6, 2011, run at the Charles Mosesian Theater. According to New Rep, "An approaching storm forces a young married couple to come home to their empty beach house and batten down the hatches.
