Starting its tenth season Sept. 27, the Manhattan Cable Television theatre show, "Broadway Beat," will venture past 42nd Street for its first two episodes.
Host Richard Ridge will visit CT's Goodspeed Opera House on the 27th and then NJ's Paper Mill Playhouse Oct. 4. Clips will be shown from current and past productions at both venues, which specialize in musicals.
"Broadway Beat" returns to its Broadway beat, Oct. 11, for a look at the South African musical, Kat and the Kings.
Produced by Bradshaw Smith and written and directed by Edgar LaMance Jr., "Broadway Beat" airs on late Monday nights (early Tuesday) at 1 AM on Time Warner Cable channel 67. The show is also on Connecticut Cablevision (channel 27, Tuesdays, 7:30 PM), Brooklyn, NY's Time Warner (channel 35) and BCAT (channel 68), both at 10 PM on Sundays); and Queens County cable (Saturdays, 3:30 PM, channel 35).
