The big opening in Tokyo this week is Curious Game, a musical set to debut Feb.19 at Tokyo's Art Sphere, in the Tennozu Isle station complex.

Anyone who has recently walked the streets or ridden a subway in The Big Mikan (Tokyo), will have seen the publicity posters for Curious Game. However the poster, a seductive black and white photo of two men and a woman in pajamas, is just part of the much-hyped publicity surrounding the show.

The show is written by Yasuyo Fuyu, with music by Harada Shinji and lyrics by Seto Chiakowhich. It is about the desire for love and the problems that come with it, and stars Keikou Koyama and Hosokawa Toshiyumi. But most of the buzz revolves around the appearance of teen idol Masayuki Sakamoto. For the uninitiated, Sakamoto is part of the chart popping V6 boy group which is the successor to the wildly popular SMAP boy group. No doubt the show is much anticipated by many Tokyo Teens.

Show times are as follows:

February 19, 23, 24, and 26 at 7 p.m. February 20 and 27 at 7:30 p.m.

February 21, 22, and 28 and March 1 at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Closed February 25.

Tickets are ¥5,500 and 6,500 yen.

Art Sphere is located in the complex at Tennozu Isle station on the Tokyo Monorail. Call 03.5460.8511 for more info.
