The New Victory Theater has announced details of its 22nd season, which includes three world premieres and five U.S. premieres of programming dedicated to family audiences.

Highlights include Step Afrika!’s The Migration: Reflections on Jacob Lawrence, inspired by the collection of paintings about the exodus of millions of African-Americans from the rural South to the urban North (November 10–26); the world premiere of Jason Bishop: Believe in Magic (December 1–30), featuring the work of Broadway illusion designer Jim Steinmeyer (Pippin, Aladdin, Mary Poppins); and Children’s Theatre Company’s production of Seedfolks (May 4–11, 2018), based on the book by Newbery Medal-winning Paul Fleischman that brings the diverse characters of an immigrant neighborhood to life.

Also planned are The Reduced Shakespeare Company’s William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (abridged), running March 2–11, 2018, and The Young King, an immersive and interactive experience based on Oscar Wilde’s short story about a young man in preparation for the royal coronation, running October 13 - 22 this fall.
