"Fresh from London's West End, this swinging show tells the story of the legendary New York jazz venue – the first racially integrated club in the city, and the hottest ticket in town. It was 'the wrong place for the right people.' From its idealistic beginnings to its demise in the 'Red Scare' of the late 1940s, Cafe Society hosted stars including Lena Horne, Count Basie, Big Joe Turner, and Billie Holiday. Stellar vocalists and a top-flight band bring this true story to life."
