LOS ANGELES -- Two new short comedies will have their world premiere in a New York-themed evening at McCadden Place Theatre June 3.
The one-act plays are written by New York writers, are set in New York, and are cast entirely with actors who have trained and worked in New York but are now transplanted in Los Angeles.
Douglas Bost's Inappropriate Behavior, directed by Allen Zadoff, is about a woman who, having moved to Brooklyn, invites her Manhattan friends to her new place for a party.
Gregg Mulpagano's People Talk, directed by David Valcin, relates events and conversations taking place during a single evening at an East Village bar.
The cast includes Chris Hatfield, Rita Kane, Jonnie Kedj, Mulpagano, Sarah Paalman, Mari Prentice, Mick Orfe and Selina Smith. The McCadden Place Theatre is at 1157 N. McCadden Place. Call (323) 858-8624.
