Classic Arts News New York City Ballet's Carla K‹rbes Moves to Pacific Northwest Ballet Peter Boal, the new artistic director of Seattle's Pacific Northwest Ballet, has made his first hires.
Among the dancers Boal has appointed to the company are Carla K‹rbes, a former colleague of Boal's at New York City Ballet. K‹rbes joined NYCB as an apprentice in October 1999 and became a member of the corps de ballet in 2000 and a soloist earlier this year. She joins PNB as a soloist.

Boal named two new members to the corps de ballet: Benjamin Griffiths, most recently a dancer at Boston Ballet, and Jessika Anspach, a PNB apprentice. Leanne Larsen, a graduate of PNB's school, becomes an apprentice.
