Classic Arts News New York City Ballet's Damian Woetzel to Appear in Boston Ballet Nutcracker New York City Ballet principal dancer Damian Woetzel will make two guest appearances in the Boston Ballet's production of The Nutcracker this month.
Woetzel will appear as the Nutcracker Prince in performances on December 15 and December 21 at 7:30 p.m.

A Boston native, Woetzel studied at the Boston Ballet School and appeared several times in the company's Nutcracker before joining first Los Angeles Ballet and then New York City Ballet as a teenager.

"This is a homecoming of sorts," Boston Ballet artistic director Mikko Nissinen said. "I am grateful to NYCB ballet master in chief Peter Martins for granting us the opportunity to have Damian in Boston for these performances."

Boston Ballet's Nutcracker runs through December 30 at the Boston Opera House. Tickets are $25-$110 and are available through the Opera House box office or through Ticketmaster at 617-931-2787 and www.ticketmaster.com.
