New York City Mayor Giuliani has proclaimed "Swing Week," running Aug. 13-20. The week of classes, demonstrations, contests and tributes began with a dance contest on Aug. 13, and was followed on Aug. 14 with a symposium, demonstration and panel discussion about Swing featuring Swing! cast members Ryan Francois, Jenny Thomas and Casey MacGill as well as Laura Jeffers of the New York Swing Society.
