Sirens Theatre Group will present the John Patrick Shanley play March 17-26. The company also includes Victor Barbella, Leah Blesoff, Sandra Cordero and Erin Quinn Purcell. Peggy Lewis directs.
Women of Manhattan, according to production notes, concerns three female yuppies who "lament the fact that, while their careers are flourishing, their emotional lives are a wreck. Rhonda can’t dispose of her ex-lover’s shoes, Billie can’t escape the honeymoon phase of a three-year marriage, and Judy can’t seem to find an attractive man who isn’t gay."
The creative team for Women of Manhattan comprises Lia Comandatore and Riccardo Mazzei (set design), Laura Bickford (lighting design), Eran Westwood (sound design) and Antonia Xereas (costume design).
Playwright John Patrick Shanley's other works include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Four Dogs and a Bone and Doubt; the latter recently began previews at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre.
The Greenwich Street Theatre is located in Manhattan at 547 Greenwich Street. Tickets, priced $15, are available by calling (212) 352-3101.
