Those theatre hopefuls the Present Company excluded at last year's Fringe NYC, and newcomers alike, have a chance to be produced at the city's most popular summer festival. But chances are slim to none if you don't get your application in before the deadline, Feb. 28.
The New York International Fringe Festival is in its 5th year at lower Manhattan playhouses. The festivities will take place this year Aug. 15-26 and as usual will include artists from around the world. Fringe NYC is produced by The Present Company, headed up by producing director Elena K. Holy and artistic director John Clancy.
Fringe applications are available online at The Present Company's website at www.fringenyc.com in Microsoft Word (.doc) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) formats. Those who are accepted will be notified by mail on or about April 24.
Accepted productions will play daily from 3PM - midnight at venues to be named later. For more information or to become a volunteer, call (212) 420-8877, or write to FringeNYC at 196-198 Stanton Street, New York NY 10002.
