"The New York Philharmonic, which this season is marking the 75th anniversary of its first live national radio broadcast, has been an almost continuous presence on national radio," said Zarin Mehta, the orchestra's president and executive director. "We are thrilled to now be able to share our concerts with music lovers around the world every week of the year."
The New York Philharmonic This Week is a two-hour program broadcast on 250 stations around the country through the WFMT Radio Network. In New York City, it is heard on WQXR 96.3 FM on Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
