News New York Pops Gala to Include Mazzie, McGovern, Foster, Headley and "Idol"'s Fantasia A starry line-up has been assembled to celebrate the New York Pops' 22nd birthday May 9.

The Carnegie Hall evening, hosted by gossip columnist Liz Smith, will be held at 7 PM in the Isaac Stern Auditorium. Featuring the New York Pops — under the direction of founder and music director Skitch Henderson — the concert will include performances by Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, Sutton Foster, Michele Lee, Maureen McGovern, Heather Headley, Bucky Pizzarelli, Frank Vignola, Jessica Molaskey, John Pizzarelli, Kitty Carlisle Hart and "American Idol" winner Fantasia. The one-night-only event will also boast a tribute to the late Cy Coleman, who died in December. Coleman won Tony Awards for his scores to The Will Rogers Follies, City of Angels and On the Twentieth Century. He was also Tony-nominated for his scores for The Life, Barnum, I Love My Wife, Seesaw and Little Me. Some of Coleman's other Broadway musicals include Wildcat and Welcome to the Club.
