The new work by Swedish playwright Lars Norén will be performed in Danish with simultaneous English translation available via headset. The play premiered at the Royal Danish Theater in Oct. 2002. Film director Bille August makes his directorial debut with the production.
In Details, a publishing editor becomes enthralled by a young divorced author, who also catches the eye of a struggling playwright who happens to be a patient of the editor's wife. All four encounter each other at the opening of the playwright's new play.
The cast includes Ole Lemmeke, Benedicte Hansen, Helle Fragalid and Nicolai Dahl Hamilton. Marita Gochman provides the English translation. The design team features Christian Friedlander (set), Maria Gyllenhoff (costumes) and Stefan Nilsson (music).
August has helmed such films as "The House of the Spirits," "Smilla's Sense of Snow," and the "Les Miserables" starring Liam Neeson.
