Recently added to the cast are Ciaran O'Reilly as Boss Mangan, George Dvorsky as Randall Utterword, Phyllis Newman and Time Out New York critic David Cote. The latter two will act as narrators. Alison Hubbard will play flute.
They join the previously announced Michele Pawk, Fritz Weaver, Malachy McCourt, Jack Gilpin and Simon Jones.
The series is being produced and directed by David Staller, who recently acted with Dana Ivey in Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession at the Irish Repertory Theatre. Dates stretching throughout 2006 and beyond will provide an airing of every sketch, full-length and one-act play by the playwright.
Fritz Weaver will play Captain Shotover. Charlotte Moore (artistic director of Irish Rep, here making a rare acting appearance) is Lady Utterword. Malachy McCourt will play The Burgler. Michele Pawk inhabits the part of Hesione Hushabye. Lynn Cohen is Nurse Guinness. Laura O'Deh essays Ellie Dunn. Jack Gilpin portrays Hector Hushabye. Simon Jones steps into the role of Mazzini Dunn. John Simon, who has called Heartbreak House one of his favorite plays, will be introducing the play.
