Tony Award winner Alice Ripley, Brian d’Arcy James and Kyle Dean Massey performed “You Don’t Know” and “I Am the One” live on the air, and a special extra performance, which is only available online, features d’Arcy James singing “I’ve Been.” (D’arcy James, recently of Time Stands Still and a Tony nominee for Shrek and Sweet Smell of Success, joined the Broadway cast May 17 to play Dan, the role he originated in the show’s Off-Broadway run at Second Stage Theatre in 2008.)
Next to Normal is currently running on Broadway at the Booth Theatre. Michael Grief directs the show, which features a Tony-winning score by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey.
