News Next Up for Lea Michele: Starring in a Hollywood Film Just days after her long-running TV hit "Glee" played its final episode, actress Lea Michele has jumped onto a new project, a "road trip sex comedy" titled "The Layover," to be directed by William H. Macy, according to a report on Deadline Hollywood.

Michele reportedly will star opposite Kate Upton in the film, which has a script by David Hornsby and Lance Krall. The start of filming was described as "imminent." Deadline Hollywood described the plot thus: "Michele and Upton play a pair of lifelong best friends who decide to avoid their problems by taking a vacation only to find that their plane has been rerouted due to a hurricane warning. To make matters worse, the two friends find themselves battling for the same guy during an extended layover in St. Louis." The film is a co-production of Keith Kjarval of Unified Pictures and Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, best known for the TV series "It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia."

Michele co-starred in the Tony-winning Broadway musical Spring Awakening.
