Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) Jan. 21-Feb. 21.
The York Hospital, the show's sponsor, and the Salvation Army are promoting the piece with "Shakespeare Feeds the Needy." When patrons bring in a non-perishable food item, they will receive $2 off the ticket price.
The Complete Works take three actors through all of Shakespeare in under two hours in a cross-dressing, pratfalling farce. The Reduced Shakespeare Company (Reed Martin, Austin Tichenor and Matthew Croke) who have also twisted The Complete History of America and The Bible: The Complete Word of God, created the piece.
Recent Harvard graduate Scott Schwartz will make his SRT diretorial debut with Complete Works. Robert Isaacson, Joshua Scharback and Brian Taylor star.
Tickets are $20-$17 and available by calling the box office at (603) 433 4472. The Seacoast Repertory Theatre is located at 125 Bow Street. -- By Christine Ehren
