News Nicholas Lloyd Webber Composes Score for New The Little Prince Musical "The Little Prince," Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's classic tale of a prince's unusual journey, will again receive the musical treatment.

Variety reports that Nicholas Lloyd Webber, the son of famed Phantom composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, has written the music for the latest incarnation of the classic children's story. The production will play Belfast's Lyric Theater beginning Dec. 1.

The Little Prince features an adaptation and direction by Mick Gordon and lyrics by James D. Reid.

"The Little Prince" was also seen on screen in Stanley Donen's 1974 movie, which featured a screenplay and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. A 1981 Broadway musical, with music by John Barry and lyrics by Don Black, closed during previous.

More successful was a Houston Grand Opera production in 2003 that was directed by Francesca Zambello and later filmed for DVD release.
