Alec Baldwin (Entertaining Mr. Sloane) appears in the new comedy from (and starring) "Saturday Night Live" alumni Tina Fey and co-starring fellow castmates Rachel Dratch and Tracy Morgan. Also rounding out the cast are Scott Adsit and Jack McBrayer.
Recent reports mentioned Rachel Dratch's role in the comedy about the behind-the scenes of a TV sketch show was being refocused. Krakowski will now play the role of an actress who stars on the show's fictional "The Girlie Show."
"30 Rock" is scheduled to debut on NBC Oct. 11 at 8:30 PM (ET) and will continue to run on Wednesdays in the same half-hour time slot.
Krakowski, who last appeared on stage in the London run of Guys and Dolls (opposite Ewan MacGregor), earned her Tony Award for the Tony-winning revival of Nine. The actress made her Broadway debut in Starlight Express and has also appeared in Tartuffe, Company, Once Upon a Mattress and Grand Hotel. Known for her previous TV work on "Ally McBeal," she also starred in the NBC television musical "A Christmas Carol" and in such films as "Pretty Persuasion," "Go," "Dance with Me" and "Alfie."
The show originates from Silver Cup Studios in Long Island City, NY. Executive producers are Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, JoAnn Alfano, Marci Klein and David Miner. For more information, visit the NBC website at www.nbc.com.
