Paper Mill Playhouse will present two theatrical events in their Winter Festival '99 -- two performances of Dein Perry's Tap Dogs Feb. 13, and two Valentine's Day performances of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters starring George Hearn and Rue McClanahan Feb. 14.
Created in Australia in 1995 by choreographer Dein Perry, Tap Dogs features six men in Blundstone boots tap dancing to an original score by Andrew Wilkie. Nigel Triffitt directs and designed the show.
Love Letters, Gurney's two-person play of read correspondence between life-long companions Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, features two-time Tony Award winner George Hearn (La Cage Aux Folles, Sunset Boulevard) and Rue McClanahan (TV's "The Golden Girls", A&E's "Nunsense" and "Nunsense II").
