News NJ Rep Serves Lemonade in East Coast Premiere, April 23-June 6 The New Jersey Repertory Company, the Long Branch troupe committed to new works, presents the East Coast premiere of the contemporary comedy, Lemonade, by Mike Folie, April 23-June 6.

"Sex is like lemonade," according to production notes. "It's refreshing, but naturally bitter. You have to add the sugar of romance yourself." The play is billed as a New Age battle of the sexes.

Folie's previous productions at NJ Rep include Naked by the River, Panama, An Unhappy Woman, Slave Shack and NJ Rep's 2003 summer it, The Adjustment.

Directed by Evan Bergman, the cast of Lemonade includes Dana Benningfield, Stephanie Dorian, Bruce Faulk and Ben Masur.

In addition to directing many regional productions, Evan Bergman directed the Off-Broadway premieres of Big Al and Bobbi Boland.

Performances play 8 PM Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and 2 PM on Sundays. Special preview performances played 2 & 8 PM April 22. Preview tickets are $20. All other performances are $30 with discounts available for students, seniors, groups and subscribers.
