News   NJ Rep's World Premiere, Apostasy, Questions Ties to Family and Faith The New Jersey Repertory Company, the Long Branch, NJ, Equity company devoted to the development of new work, stages the world premiere of Gino Dilorio's Apostasy, July 13-Aug. 13.

NJ Rep's artistic director SuzAnne Barabas directs a cast that includes Susan G. Bob, Evander Duck, Jr., and Natalie Wilder. In the play, "A successful, middle-aged, Jewish businesswoman (Bob) reaches a crossroads in her life leading her to question her faith and to turn to a charismatic evangelist (Duck) for guidance. Her only daughter (Wilder) is greatly threatened by her mother's new relationship and abandonment of her previous way of life. The result is a unique love story infused with pathos and humor…"

Apostasy is defined as abandonment of one's religious faith or principals.

The creative team includes Jill Nagle (lighting design), Merek Royce Press (sound design), Patricia E. Doherty (costume design), Rose Riccardi (stage manager), Jessica Park (properties).
