News No "Gimmick": Gypsy's Halston Makes TV Appearance July 8 Gypsy's Julie Halston — who plays the dual roles of Miss Cratchitt and Electra — will make an appearance on the WB-11's "Morning Show" July 8.

Halston will be on hand to discuss the July 12 Broadway Barks event, founded by her Gypsy co-star Bernadette Peters and Peters' friend, actress Mary Tyler Moore. Halston will appear on the morning program with a two-month old Shepard mix puppy, Danny, who is available for adoption. Visit www.officialbroadwaybarks.org for more information about the upcoming event in Shubert Alley. WB-11's "Morning Show" airs in the metropolitan area from 7-9 AM ET. Halston is scheduled to appear at approximately 7:55 AM.

Last season, Julie Halston was seen on Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company's production of The Women. Her other New York theatrical credits include roles in The Butter and Egg Man, The Vagina Monologues and Red Scare on Sunset. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Red Scare. Also a stand-up comedian, Halston played Bitsy Von Muffling in HBO-TV's "Sex and the City."
