Directed by Ted Pappas, the limited engagement continues through June 24 and features Victoria Mack, Laird Mackintosh (Mary Poppins), Michael Brusasco, Amanda Leigh Cobb (The Importance of Being Earnest) and Elena Alexandratos.
Private Lives, according to Pittsburgh Public, "is set in 1930. It begins on adjoining terraces of a chic French resort where two English couples are honeymooning. Amanda (Mack) is with her new husband Victor (Mackintosh) and Elyot (Brusasco) is with his new wife Sibyl (Cobb). Very quickly we learn that Amanda and Elyot used to be married. When the two discover the situation, surprising sparks fly. Act Two is set in a Paris apartment on the Avenue Montaigne, complete with French maid (Alexandratos). Here, Coward's trademark combination of acerbic wit, high style, psychological insight, and hilarious high-jinks goes full throttle."
Other members of the creative team include scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Andrew B. Marlay, lighting designer Phil Monat, sound designer Zach Moore, dialect coach Don Wadsworth, fight director Randy Kovitz, production stage manager Fred Noel and assistant stage manager Adrienne Wells.
