Norbert Leo Butz, the Tony-nominated star of the now-closed Thou Shalt Not, will star in the upcoming concert version of Carousel.

Butz will portray Jigger Craigin in the June 6 concert of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, the actor confirmed at the May 15 Tony nominees luncheon. Also starring in the one-night-only event are the previously announced Hugh Jackman (Billy Bigelow), Audra McDonald (Julie Jordan), Jason Danieley (Enoch Snow), Judy Kaye (Nettie Fowler) and Lauren Ward (Carrie Pipperidge). Walter Bobbie will direct the evening, Leonard Slatkin will conduct the Orchestra of St. Luke's, and the Concert Chorale of New York will also lend their voices to the concert presentation of the classic musical.

Butz was most recently on the boards in the Off-Broadway production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years. Earlier this season he received raves for his role in the Susan Stroman-Harry Connick Jr. musical Thou Shalt Not. His other theatrical credits include Saved, Juno and the Paycock and the national tour of Cabaret, for which he received Helen Hayes, Dora and Joseph Jefferson awards. Butz's TV and film work include "Looking for an Echo," "Went to Coney Island," "Noon Blue Apples," "Law & Order" and "The Tonight Show."

Tickets for the concert only range from $34 to $142 and are available at the hall's box office or through CarnegieCharge at (212) 247-7800. Carnegie Hall is located in New York City at 154 W. 57th Street.
