News   Norm Lewis to Host Monday Nights, New Voices Concert April 27 Norm Lewis, who plays King Triton in Broadway's The Little Mermaid, will host the April 27 Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The evening, which begins at 7 PM, will celebrate the work of composer-lyricist Adam Overett. Vocalists will include Shaleah Adkisson, Charlie Levy, Shane Orser, Ian Joseph and Rachel Potter.

The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff, among others — is available by visiting www.scottalan.net. His new CD, "Keys: The Music of Scott Alan," is also now available.

In addition to Mermaid, Norm Lewis has been seen on Broadway in The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon and The Who's Tommy. His Off-Broadway credits include Captains Courageous and A New Brain, and he has toured with Once on This Island and Four Score & Seven Years Ago. Lewis' other theatrical credits include the all-star Dreamgirls, Hair and Children of Eden concerts, the City Center Encores! production of Golden Boy and regional productions of Ragtime, Pippin and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Adam Overett's musical Call It Courage was a 2005 New York Musical Theatre Festival selectee and a finalist for the ASCAP Workshop. He has also penned the musicals The Firebird and Seeing the Light as well as the plays Passport, Standing Guard and The Birdbath. As an actor, he was seen on Broadway in The Light in the Piazza and Off-Broadway in Junie B. Jones.
