The hit Disney musical will play the Boston theatre July 6-25. Joining Little (Beast) and Daniels (Belle) onstage will be Ron Wisniski (Lumiere), Dick Decareau (Cogsworth), Jeanne Lehman (Mrs. Potts), Gina Ferrall (Madame La Grande Bouche), Jeff Skowron (LeFou), Brian Noonan (Gaston), Jessica Leigh Brown (Babette) and George Merritt (Maurice). The ensemble comprises Randy Aaron, Sarah Anderson, Kurt Domoney, Jacquelyn Dowsett, Gaelen Gilliland, Julie Heaton, Christina Hedrick, Kara Klein, Chris Klink, Michelle Lookadoo, Ellyn Marsh, Ken McMullen, Andrew Rangone, Rod Roberts, Rob Rokicki, Peyton Royal, Larissa Shukis, Byron St. Cyr, Lee Wilkins and Jessica Wright. Glenn Casale will direct the North Shore mounting with choreography by John MacInnis. The creative team also includes Dex Edwards (scenic designer ), Bill Stanley (music director), Marty Vreeland (lighting designer), Miguel Huidor (costume designer) and Gerard Kelly (wig designer).
Featuring a score by Alan Menken, Tim Rice and the late Howard Ashman, Beauty and the Beast boasts a book by the author of the original screenplay, Linda Woolverton; the musical was directed on Broadway by Robert Jess Roth. Beauty opened at the Palace Theatre April 18, 1994, and now plays the Lunt-Fontanne.
