Vicki Lewis will star as iconic stage mother Rose in the North Shore Music Theatre production of Gypsy, which will reopen the Beverley, MA, theatre July 6.

As previously reported, the Arthur Laurents-Jule Styne-Stephen Sondheim musical will be the first production at the theatre-in-the-round since it shuttered due to financial troubles in 2009. Lewis, who appeared on Broadway in Damn Yankees and Chicago, is the first performer to be announced for Gypsy, which will run through July 25.

"American Idol" finalist Anthony Fedorov will star in the title role of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which follows Aug. 3-22. Fedorov previously performed the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical for the 5th Avenue Theatre and the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma.

Also on the bill are Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Sept. 21-Oct. 10), A Chorus Line (Nov. 2-21) and A Christmas Carol (Dec. 3-23 under the direction of Jon Kimbell).
