Directed by Mark Martino with choreography by Denis Jones, performances will continue through Oct. 10. Opening night is scheduled for Sept. 23.
The cast boasts Brent Barrett (Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun) as Lawrence Jameson, D.B. Bonds as Freddy Benson, Brynn O'Malley as Christine Colgate, Lynne Wintersteller as Muriel Eubanks, John Scherer (By Jeeves, Sunset Boulevard) as Andre Thibault and Jennifer Cody (Shrek the Musical, The Pajama Game) as Jolene Oaks.
The ensemble comprises Warren Curtis, Deanna Glover, Thomas Gibbons, Erin Henry, Lauren Kadel, Chris Klink, Krista Kurtzberg, Jody Reynard, Natalie Ryder, Aaron Umsted, Lael Van Keuren and Franklyn Warfield.
Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was penned by composer-lyricist David Yazbek and librettist Jeffrey Lane. The musical, according to the North Shore, "follows two very different con artists working their schemes on the French Riviera. Their high jinks result in a friendly competition to see which one can swindle an innocent heiress out of her fortune."
The creative team also includes Steven Freeman (musical director), Michael Schweikardt (scenic designer), Jose Rivera (costume designer), Chris Chambers (lighting designer), James McCartney (sound designer), Gail Eve Malatesta (production stage manager), Bobby Hirschhorn (assistant music director) and Natalie A.
