News Notes in Heels to Showcase American Talent in West End The Notes from New York series, which introduces musical compositions to London's West End, will present the work of three American female composers under the title Notes in Heels.

The one-night performance on April 6 at the Duchess Theatre will star Julie Atherton (Avenue Q in the West End) and feature music by Georgia Stitt, Jenny Giering and Zina Goldrich.

Composer and conductor Stitt is the wife of Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown. Her musicals include The Water and Big Red Sun.

Giering's The Mistress Cycle was seen recently at Chicago's Apple Tree Theatre following a staging at the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Other works include Crossing Brooklyn, and she is currently writing Saint-Ex about the life of Antoine de Saint Exupery, author of "The Little Prince."

Goldrich's musical Julie B will open Off-Broadway later this year. With her co-writer and lyricist Marcy Heisler, the pair have performed as singer-songwriters at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.

Onstage Atherton and Paul Spicer (The Witches of Eastwick) will be joined by Selina Chilton, recently seen in the Almeida Theatre's family show Marianne Dreams; Stuart Matthew Price (Parade at the Donmar); and Amy Pemberton, who will play Lorraine in the U.K. premiere of Jersey Boys.
