Classic Arts News NPR to Distribute Sunday Choral-Music Program National Public Radio will begin providing a weekly choral-music program to its affiliates next month, the network announced.
The program, titled Sacred Classics, is currently distributed through the Classic Public Radio Network (CPRN), a smaller consortium of public-radio stations. Stephanie Wendt is the host.

"Choral singing is one of the few truly universal musical experiences," Wendt said in a statement. "This is music that speaks to the spirit."

NPR will introduce Sacred Classics with a special on December 25 titled "Sacred Classics for Christmas," which will mark Christmas and the beginning of Hanukkah with carols and sacred music. The program will then be heard each Sunday morning starting on January 1.
