The second season of National Theatre Live worldwide screenings will continue with screenings of director Nicholas Hytner's production of Hamlet, starring Rory Kinnear, beginning Dec. 9.

Also featured in the cast of Shakespeare's tragedy are Clare Higgins (Gertrude), Patrick Malahide (Claudius), David Calder (Polonius), James Laurenson (Ghost/Player King) and Ruth Negga (Ophelia).

Kinnear takes on the Danish prince beset by grief and revenge over his father's murder and uncle's throne usurption after previous appearances at the National in Burnt by the Sun, The Revenger's Tragedy, Philistines and The Man of Mode.

The next NT Live series of screenings is scheduled to occur Jan. 13, 2011, with Fela!, the musical about Afrobeat musician and activist Fela Kuti starring original Broadway cast member and Tony Award nominee Sahr Ngaujah.
