"Nuns" Fall Through Stage Floor in U.K. Theatre

News   "Nuns" Fall Through Stage Floor in U.K. Theatre
The dangers of members of an audience getting on a stage were given an unexpectedly dramatic illustration Sept. 30.

According to a BBC News report, a group of revellers, dressed as nuns, went onto the stage of the Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, as part of a Sing-Along-A -Sound of Music evening.

A temporary extension to the stage, built out over the orchestra pit, sent the group tumbling some 20 feet into the pit. A number of broken or fractured arms and legs resulted but, fortunately, no very serious injuries.
